The Step-Momster

Back in April when I got married I got a husband and a daughter. Lucky for me she is 11 and so much fun to be with. Ive decided it' kinda like being a grandma in your 20's. I get to do all the fun things like get nails done, see movies etc... without ever having to be the bad guy. I don't understand how any stepmom could ever be mean? If you would have told me when I was younger that I would have had a stepdaughter it would have probably freaked me out. However, lucky for me she is totally amazing. Of course she is only 11...should I wait till the teen years?

My Other Sister

I have to give credit to Valerie for making me start blogging. She is my oldest and best friend and really more a sister than anything else. She is the type of person that you rarely come across. Full of positive energy, Valerie manages to find the best in everyone and always has the time to really listen even though she is raising 3 beautiful little children. I think her name should really be wonder woman. It has been so much fun to watch Valerie grow and become a wife, mother, problem solver, craft extrordinaire and crazy beautiful. I am so proud to have her in my life through thick and thin. Love you Val!

It's only June but I'm already preparing for Fall...

First off, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) it is estimated that each year 86,000 injuries are caused by pets. I had to make sure you all know that I am not the only one who manages to fall and break their toe in 2 places and sprain their leg all while trying not to step on their precious little puppy!

If nothing else I should get credit for the fact that Jaxx was not harmed during the making of my fall nor did the glass that I was holding break when it flew from my hand.

So once again I am on crutches and having to take some tiny little pills that make me just a wee bit silly :)
